Step into a space where fashion meets story, sustainability meets soul, and creativity has no rules.
Visiting from the Far North, wearable artist Stichbury brings her distinctive approach to Wānaka for a limited-time Upcycled Wearable Art Workshop — a unique opportunity to explore your creative voice while transforming forgotten materials into bold, expressive pieces.
Working with thoughtfully sourced off-cuts, reclaimed textiles, and natural fibres like merino, her process blends slow, conscious design with intuitive making. This is more than a workshop — it’s an invitation to switch off from the noise, drop into flow, and reconnect with the joy of creating.
With over 20 years of experience in wearable art, Stichbury guides participants through experimentation, play, and storytelling through fabric. Whether you’re new to making or already creating, the focus is on discovering your own style, voice, and narrative — with no rules, only exploration.
Each participant will create a one-of-a-kind wearable piece, supported throughout, and finish with a mini photoshoot to capture their work.
